DHEA is produced by the adrenal gland and is a naturally occurring androgen within the human body in both males and females. It is the second most prevalent hormone and the most prevalent androgen. It is a necessary building block for a variety of compounds manufactured in the human body. Supplemental DHEA can restore normal levels of this important naturally occurring hormone.
